I had the day off Monday and so did Kerianne! I asked if she wanted to go on another walk, like our Fall Foliage Walk a few weeks before, and she was in!
It was a chilly but sunny day, I grabbed the 50mm lens and my last roll of film which happened to be Portra 400. I hate how much I love the colors on this roll, Portra 400 is such incredible film stock. It was a very successful roll with the 50mm lens, I only had one shot where I forgot to telescope it out (instead of like four on the last roll).
Similar to the foliage walk, the tree colors were stunning. There was a little more variety on our walk, especially because of the waterfront, it was a great day to be outside! It was nice to have recurring characters like the train tracks and freewways that we crisscrossed as well.

We ended our walk at the North Berkeley BART station.
Path
This time, we started at MacArthur BART and decided to walk over to the waterfront, and then meander.
We headed west, over the train tracks at the Emeryville station, then walked under the freeway. We wandered out near Emeryville cove (an area I’d never been to), it had a really fun boardwalk that we followed. From there, we headed to the Berkeley Marina (where we’ve swam before). Then we crossed over the freeway on the bike/foot bridge into Berkeley, and back over the train tracks. We wandered around the 4th Street stores, got some lunch, and then finished the walk at North Berkeley BART.
I found one penny on this walk! Coming soon to a [pennies recap] near you.
According to my watch, this was 8.55mi, 2hr41min of moving time, and 18,272 steps.
