Cape Tappi Seaside Park

We made it to Cape Tappi, the area the Tsugaru Strait swim starts from. This was a first acclimation swim. The water was about 70-72ºF, and felt pretty refreshing!

It’s a bit of a of a rocky beach area, so it was a bit dicey getting into the water, but once I was in, it was great!

The water was very clear! The area had some sort of stream dumping into the ocean, so it was a mix of fresh and saltwater, and since it was so clear, you could see the difference! Parts of the water seemed blurrier than others.
