This was the Kirby Cove test swim. It was extremely foggy (we couldn’t see the Golden Gate Bridge until we were literally under it), so rather than risk a swim across the shipping lane, we jumped in near the Warming Hut and swam back to the club. According to the tide book, there should have been a decent ebb, but in reality, it didn’t kick in until the end.
