Marination

On Friday mornings at the South End Rowing Club, there are swimmers of all different types: fast swimmers, slow swimmers, ambitious swimmers, relaxed swimmers.

There’s consistently a group of people who get in, and don’t make it past the end the dock. They’ll tread water and chit-chat for a few minutes.

This Friday, I was that chit-chatter. We call this marination, since we just soak up the water. It was my last swim in the bay before heading to England and I don’t think I’d have it any other way.

I moved such a short distance with the watch on that it didn’t even register a path!
