On Friday, I tagged along with a slightly different crew. With this group, we swam to Fort Mason, but swam under the Muni Pier to get there using a gap we call the Farnsworth Gap. Even though my watch’s path below is still not quite accurate, for once it’s right about my crossing under the pier. To get back we went through the opening, but carefully as a tight group to miminize risk from being bitten by a pinniped (there was another bite just the day before).
