Fellow South Ender Don Margolis (yes same last name, no relation) organized a round-trip Alcatraz and Brian, Kim and I scored some invites. We swam in a single pod of 9 of us and had a great time – it was a gorgeous day. This was very similar to last year’s Swim Around the Rock except we had to regroup as a pod a few times because there was much less coverage in terms of kayakers and boats.
